Meribel sits nestled right in the heart of the Three Valleys, one of the most impressive ski domains in France. Strict planning and development has meant that as a resort, it has been spared the ugly utilitarian accommodation that is the blight of so many French resorts, and has managed to maintain an Alpine charm all of its own. Meribel is resort of chalets – as one enters the resort, one is struck by the sheer number of free-standing chalets that are perched on the mountainside.
